Wild caught alligators from the swamps of southern Louisiana (bayou lafourche) bought by the leather and meat industry and the skulls and bones are put into any piles by the canals for a few years to become fossilized. I've then properly sterilized the fossils in a boiling pot with dawn for 30-1 hour ( takes remaining flesh and debris) then I boil again with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide for about 20 minutes and finally I put hair developer which is a high percentage of hydrogen peroxide on to them and let them sit in the sun overnight to properly whiten them.
